8th December 2013 Ralph Vaughan Williams wonderful Christmas work 'Hodie' with full orchestra and youth choir.

5th April 2014 Haydn's Mass in Time of War; Mozart's Solemn Vespers and selections from Bach's Orchestral Suite No 3 in D.

13th July 2014 A summer concert with a variety of pieces from Bach to Mozart, Mendelssohn to Schubert and modern pieces by Howard Goodall, an arrangement by Richard Holt and a medley of Broadway blockbusters! 

14th December 2014 Bach's Magnificat in D; John Rutter's Gloria and Corelli's Christmas Concerto by the Cantabile Orchestra. 

26th April 2015 Carl Orff's Carmina Burana and Constant Lambert's The Rio Grande with the Bournemouth Symphony Youth Chorus.

12th July 2015 A light summer mix of music from John Rutter to Eric Whittaker, from Haydn to Fauré and Will Todd to Sondheim.

6th December 2015 Bach's Christmas Oratorio and extracts from Handel's Messiah.

24th April 2016 Haydn's 'Nelson Mass', Schubert's Mass in G and Bob Chilcott's Kyrie from 'A Little Jazz Mass'. 

10th July 2016 Our 10th anniversary summer concert including Bob Chilcott's 'A Little Jazz Mass' and a variety of other pieces such as 'Les Champs-Elysees', 'Moon River', 'She' and 'Pie Jesu'.

11th December 2016 The final concert of 2016 had a Christmasy first half with Vaughan Williams' Fantasia on Christmas Carols, a lovely piece by the Orchestra called 'A Christmas Festival' and several other carols.  The second half was Francis Poulenc's Gloria.

9th April 2017 The first concert of 2017 was John Rutter's wonderful Requiem and Vivaldi's Magnificat, accompanied by the Orchestra who also played Bach's Brandenberg Concerto No 3. 

9th July 2017 The summer concert of 2017 was our usual mix of music including Bob Chilcott's 'Five Days that Changed the World' and a variety of other pieces from Karl Jenkins, Will Todd, Howard Goodall and Mozart among others.  The concert also included wonderful piano pieces from Our Musical Director Jean and her husband Richard. 

3rd December 2017 The Christmas concert of 2017 included several pieces for the time of year, the main one being Britten's Ceremony of Carols but also other carols by Rutter and a brand new composition by Richard Holt.  The programme also had Finzi's In Terra Pax, a Vivaldi Violin Concerto, Fauré's Cantique de Jean Racine and a superb harp solo played by Ruby Aspinall.

25th March 2018 The first concert of 2018 included the lovely Mozart Requiem, the Mendelssohn Choral Cantata No. 6 and the Simple Symphony by Benjamin Britten played by the orchestra.

1st July 2018 The second concert of 2018 included the rather quirky piece by Bob Chilcott "Aesop's Fables", and 8 other choir pieces from "O Fortuna" by Carl Orff, through "Ave Maria" by both Giulio Caccini and Franz Bieble, to "The Lord's Prayer" from David Fanshawe's African Sanctus.  There was also a lovely trio from Mozart's Magic Flute, several pieces by The Cantabile Players string quartet and a wonderful Gershwin medley played by Richard Holt.

9th December 2018 The Christmas concert of 2018 included exerts from The Messiah, Haydn's Te Deum, Bach's Christmas Cantata, an orchestral piece by Karl Jenkins and of course some carols by John Rutter and Richard Holt. 

24th March 2019 The first concert of 2019 had a French theme and included Francis Poulenc's Stabat Mater, parts of Fauré's Requiem and his Cantique de Jean Racine, pieces from Berlioz and Gounod and a lively orchestral piece from Chabrier called Espana.  For this concert we were blessed with a marvellous 32 piece orchestra .

7th July 2019 The second concert of 2019 was our usual lighter mix of music including some traditional folk songs, arrangements by Richard Holt, extracts from Broadway musicals and pieces from South Pacific and Oklahoma.  We were accompanied by a lovely string quartet who played some wonderful pieces of their own too.

15th December 2019 The third concert of 2019 was a concert for Christmas and included the Sunrise Mass by Ola Gjeilo, Zadok The Priest, the opening chorus from Bach's Christmas Oratorio, several carols and an Orchestral piece.  We were also joined by a delightful group of primary school children called 'Vocability'.

Our concerts are always in St Luke's Church, Wellington Rd, Parkstone and usually start at 6.30pm.

Tickets are always available on the door.

Past Concerts

12th December 2021 Our first concert for 2 years!  At last we were able to put a concert on with an orchestra and full church too.  The concert included some Christmas carols, extracts from the Messiah and an interesting piece by Paul Mealor - his Stabat Mater.

3rd April 2022 Our first concert of 2022 was with our own Cantabile orchestra and included Mozart’s Great C Minor Mass, Magnum Mysterium by Morten Lauridsen and Faure's Cantique de Jean Racine.

10th July 2022 Our summer concert of 2022 included Bob Chilcott’s Nidaros Jazz Mass, excerpts from Fiddler on the Roof and Les Mis, Beatles’ numbers arranged by Richard Holt, and a whole range of music by Mozart, Lauridsen, Schubert, Karl Jenkins, Rutter, Delibes, Faure and Saint-Saens.

11th December 2022 Our Christmas concert of 2022 included Bengamin Britten’s Ceremony of Carols, Poulenc’s Gloria and serveral seasonal carols by Rutter, Willcocks, Holst and Mathias.

16th April 2023 Our Easter concert of 2023 included Howard Goodall’s wonderful Eternal Light Requiem; Eric Whitacre’s Seal Lullaby; Ola Gjeilo’s two pieces Dark and Luminous Night and Albinoni’s Adagio for Strings played by the orchestra.

9th July 2023 Our summer concert of 2023 included Irving Berlin’s ‘Puttin on the Ritz’ and ‘Cheek to Cheek’, Wagner’s ‘Pilgrims Chorus’, Borodin’s ‘Polovtsian Dances’ and Verdi’s ‘Chorus of Hebrew Slaves’. There were ‘Ave Verum’ pieces by Karl Jenkins and Mozart and medleys from Rodgers and Hammerstein and Joseph’s Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat.  The concert also included wonderful solo pieces from 6 choir members and a stunning piano piece played by Richard Holt.

10th December 2023 Our Christmas concert of 2023 included a piece by Bob Chilcott called ‘Wenceslas’ based on the theme of the Good King Wenceslas carol.  There was the Vivaldi ‘Gloria’ and 2 songs by Ola Gjeilo - The Rose and Ecce Novum. The evening finished with 2 carols cleverly arranged by Richard Holt.
