CANTABILÉ CHOIR

Cantabilé is a friendly and lively choir which has been running now for over 18 years.

We consist of around 50 mixed voices, and sing mainly sacred choral works, usually accompanied by an orchestra, but our summer concert is more light hearted with a wide variety of pieces.

Our Musical Director is Jean Holt

We rehearse once a week on a Thursday evening at 7.30pm, and perform to large audiences 3 times a year, usually in St Luke's Church, Parkstone.

Our recent Christmas concert was a lovely seasonal mix with Vivaldi’s “Dixit Dominus”, Gerald Finzi’s “In Terra Pax”, some pieces from Handel’s “Messiah” and some Christmas carols including a lovely arrangement of
“I Saw Three Ships” by Richard Holt.

Our next concert will be our Spring concert on 12th April 2026 and will include Rossini's “Petite Messe Solonnelle”.

If you came along to the Christmas concert or indeed have been to any of our concerts, thank you for coming and we do hope you enjoyed them.

You can see the huge range of music we have performed over the years under ‘Past Concerts’ and there will also be links to video recordings of many of our latest concerts.
